Telling the story of how a planet is made

Terms and Conditions

By submitting your child’s artwork contribution (artistic and literary works) to story@ast.cam.ac.uk you allow the University to use the material in the contribution on a free-of-charge basis as part of an educational book on how planets form issued by the University of Cambridge (the “University”) that will be distributed both electronically and in printed format in any media throughout the world, including electronically and in printed format, so you may see the contribution on a University website or its social media channels, and on other sites and channels that have our permission to feature some of our content.  

The University very much hopes to be able to use the contribution but cannot guarantee to do so.   You grant the University the right to change or edit or remove the contribution for operational and editorial reasons, including but not limited to the creation of a new piece combining some or all of the contribution with those of others.

Any copyright in the contribution will remain with its author/creator and this permission is non-exclusive, which means you can continue to use the contributed material in any way, including allowing others to use it.   Copyright in a new combined piece that includes your submitted contribution remains with the University and your right to use that combined piece shall be the same as with any other University piece.

You confirm that the contribution is your child’s original work and is made in their personal capacity.

The University may need to contact you for administrative or verification purposes in relation to your submission.

If you do not want to grant the University permission to use the contribution in accordance with the Terms and Conditions, please do not share with or submit it to us.

Data Protection
