Partial Solar Eclipse watch!

Join us at the Institute of Astronomy to watch a partial Solar Eclipse! From 10am to 12pm on Saturday 29th March, the Moon will pass in front of of the Sun, with maximum coverage of 31% occurring at 11:04am. We will be holding an eclipse watch-along on our lawn, as well as offering views of the eclipse through our telescopes.

Solar viewing glasses will be provided — it is very important that you do not look at the Sun with the naked eye.

Please note that this event is weather dependent — the eclipse can only be seen if the sky is clear.
